One of the biggest bummers about the mashup community is how frequently talented producers fall away, never releasing anything more than what they have, their sites slowly decaying as file hosting lapses. Maybe it's one of the reasons the form isn't considered "real" art by many- but it's also one of the reasons fans are hugely lucky to have guys like team9 (the man behind Sterogum's yearly MySplice compilations & co-creator of 2005's legendary American Edit LP) still creating output.

Track for track, I'm having trouble determining if 9's latest- the full length Ministry of Sound Chilled radio show- is the soundtrack to summer spliffs on the beach, or music to serenely drive off a cliff to- and there's a part of me that feels that confusion is exactly what the man intended.

With Justin Vernon and Marvin Gaye in tow, this is completely aces.
