It's been humid as balls in NYC these last 48, and between a leaking kitchen ceiling, a media plan launch that continues to be a Russian nesting doll of terrible, and the promise of a hot, too short, labor intensive weekend ahead, the pervasive feeling of a summer too far gone shows no signs of subsiding. I, and legions of 9 to 5ers alike will be setting my heart on Saturday night.

Props to ComaR this grim, sticky Friday, and to his "Give Heat Up"- the official shuffle superjam of the weekend. Breezy and hip, it's a fine sonic shade for those blessed moments of solitude in air conditioned subway cars.
