Indianapolis musician Grampall Jookabox makes swampy, stompy bluescore jams that call to mind a Merrie Melodies skeleton bone xylophone by way of Huck Finn's boozhound father. Barreling his sonic jalopy across a soundscape between Celebration and the field recordings of Alan Lomax, Jookabox sketches a mournful, tobacco stained world on August's Rill Bruh EP, the prelude to his full length release, Ropechain, coming this November.
Jookabox's Rill Bruh EP is available for free download @ Asthmatic Kitty, and features the below track, "The Girl Ain't Preggers"- a brash, spooky little number that's out and out my favorite song of the fall thus far.

Ropechain is out November 4th on Asthmatic Kitty.
Grampall Jookabox can't pay for no baby.
