New Soulwax! Rolling Stones Remix!

As Barry in High Fidelity, Jack Black's Stevie Wonder sub-question "is it in fact unfair to criticize a formerly great artist for his latter day sins, is it better to burn out or fade away" rings ever true of The Rolling Stones.

But then Soulwax goes and produces one of the best fucking remixes I've ever heard in my life for the soundtrack of a terrible looking, suspiciously racist blackjack movie, and I guilt out to the max for ever doubting the power of The Stones' filth swagger rock machine in the first place. And then I convince myself that their cover of "Like A Rolling Stone" was so cool and meta that no one got it, and that solo Mick Jagger is infallible, and Sticky Fingers holds up alongside Sgt. Pepper's, and that the last two Pirates of the Caribbean movies weren't so bad, they just needed a little guidance, and I obsess over the death of Brian Jones for a few weeks, and then it's time for me to hate the Rolling Stones all over again.

The Rolling Stones "You Can't Always Get What You Want (2008 Soulwax Remix)"

The Rolling Stones "Sympathy For The Devil (2003 Neptunes Remix)"

The Jacksons Feat. Mick Jagger "State of Shock"

Suspiciously racist? Talk about someone looking for racism.

I saw the movie, and until I read this post as I tried to find the Rolling Stones song, I never thought racism. Please...

But, I do thank you for the song.

You know what Anon? You're right. It makes much more sense to stand up for an awesome movie like 21 than to find something off about the fact the producers cast a bunch pretty white kids in place of the Asians and Russians that actually served as the characters' inspiration. And you're welcome for the track.
