A shining example of quality over quantity, Breastfed Records co-owner Mylo (ne Myles McInnes) is the man behind the mix we've not been able to free ourselves from this week: his second, shorter BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. With little to touch on save the mix's awesomeness, a Radio Duck reminiscent retro superjam, we advise those abroad to take note that they can catch the man from the Isle of Skye ringing in the New Year this December at Turnmills, London, spinning alongside the likes of Soulwax and Simian Mobile Disco.
As I call it, the cherry comes in the set's finale, a glorious roll from his own "Drop The Pressure" into an acid flavored remix of The Knife's "Silent Shout". From the May 13th 2006 Live Radio One Big Dance Party from Dundee, hit up Mylo's Essential Mix and two bonus tracks below.
Mylo - BBC Radio One Essential Mix 5/13/06
Flat Pack "Sweet Child O Mine (Mylo Remix)"
Party Ben "Walking With A Ghost In Paris" (Tegan & Sara vs. Mylo)
UPDATED: Nice when links actually work, isn't it.
