Okay girls, huddle up.
I'm not gonna lie to you: you're all big girls now- almost seniors, and I'm more than a little concerned about the state of this year's Flag Corps. There seems to be a real lack of "group think" here, and- what's that Chrissie? No Chrissie, not everybody thinks and acts and dresses just the same. Some people like to stick out Chrissie, and wear black nail polish, even though they know it kills their mother inside.
Like I was saying: Flag Corps isn't just about volunteer clean up after the Rotary Club bake sale, or driving home that crucial extra bit of pep after the marching band clears the field, it's a state of mind. It's about positive energy, on AND off the field. Bright clothes, a sunny demeanor, and being super good girlfriends to your boyfriends, am I right? Of course I am. We're a team ladies, and if you think that putting beads in your hair and not having a boyfriend are gonna fly when you're off at college, then I tell you missy, you're in for some hard lesso- No Chrissie, it is not unreasonable. It is not unreasonable. It is quite reasonable. It is normal. Normal to be normal. No Chrissie, I don't care that you're my daughter. We agreed that there'd be no special treatment here. Right? We agreed? That's right.
Girls, Flag Corps needs to be your everything. When you all go to a party, you don't go to a party as friends: you go to a party as Flag Corps. When you all drink too much at that party to impress that handsome townie boy with the custom pickup truck, you don't drink too much at that party to impress that handsome townie boy with the custom pickup truck as high school girls, you drink too much at that party to impress that handsome townie boy with the custom pickup truck as Flag Corps! When you all talk through the questionably consensual night before, you don't talk through the CHRISSIE YOU SHUT YOUR FAT LITTLE MOUTH. You can talk when you have a prom date, okay? How's that. You get to speak up when you have a prom date and take off that awful nail polish.
You ladies will be seniors before you know it. Let's not ruin the best years of your lives now, huh? Now let me see some hustle, girls! Break!
