You should listen to Cracked Out. Mortal enemies of mc chris, the douche-rap duo of Rapzilla and MC Record Deal (Death By Roo Roo's Brett Gelman and Jon Daly) have made a fine little name for themselves in New York's comedy-hop scene with '07 appearances at Central Park's SummerStage and May's 24-Hour Human Giant MTV takeover. Having appeared on Chris' Dungeon Master of Ceremonies album (on which they bluntly murder the nerdcore hero, Biggie Smalls style), Cracked Out have finally released their own gigglingly filthy EP, Fleetwood Crack.
The tracks themselves are, well, hugely fucking funny, and a welcome, thoughtful solution to the fading frat-laugh style pioneered by the likes of The Bloodhound Gang. Standout song "Bennigan'z" really nails the group's conceit, the feel of some shitty upper middle-class Jersey kids channeling Pharcyde without any irony. The entire Fleetwood Crack EP is available for free download at the crew's website, so take a listen to the teasers below. (Guess what F.U.P.A. stands for. Guess.)

You Just Bought The Brand New Dave Matthews
Cracked Out's new stage show "Crackfended" debuts Saturday evening at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre as part of the five day Offensive Fest. Tickets are $5. (I can't believe I just referred to The Bloodhound Gang as "pioneers" either.)
