How Fair People Can Be.

It's an odd one off post, we know, but this song has been stuck in our head for the better part of a week. "Simon Smith and His Amazing Dancing Bear", written and recorded by Randy Newman in 1972, showcases an easy segue between the singer/songwriter's adult pop sensibilities and his more kid-friendly award winners of late. Later recorded by both Harry Nilsson and The Alan Price Set, and performed in concert by Harper's Bizarre, it might be respectable if we had one of these versions stuck in our head. Naturally, this isn't the case. Below, mp3 & video from the flagship season of The Muppet Show, featuring Scooter and Fozzie Bear.
